EarthOptics is a growing AgTech company developing tools that help farmers more sustainably manage their soil, increase yields and feed the growing world.  We are seeking a Program Manager with at least 3 years experience in government contract management  to join our team.  As a Program Manager you will join our growing team and have individual contributor responsibilities. This position will be responsible for managing all new government contracts and subcontracts and coordinating between operations, accounting, and sales teams.


A Day in the Life…

As a Program Manager, you will act as a liaison between EarthOptics, clients, and the field teams. You will serve as the key point of contact with USDA partners, ensuring EO follows protocols and processes according to the specific government contract. You will be responsible for sharing necessary documentation and ensuring it is aligned with federal regulations. You will be responsible for conveying project progress to government stakeholders on a regular basis and via their preferred method. You will be responsible for tracking key milestones and ensuring on-time delivery of all products; you will coordinate with the Field Ops to schedule data collection and provide specific protocols as required by the contract; you will collaborate with QA to ensure samples are received and processed accurately by the lab, uploaded to our system, and shared with key external stakeholders; you will coordinate with G&A to track and ensure the contract remains under budget while providing necessary information for timely invoicing.

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Work Location: Remote - This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in the US

Travel:  Travel may be required approximately 10% of the time

Compensation: The budgeted range starts at $88,900 to $127,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate's experience and location.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop milestone-driven program schedules based on contract requirements, and manage teams for on-time delivery to those schedules
  • Develop program budgets and track status 
  • Provide solutions to customer questions and recommendations within contract scope
  • Develop and track key program performance metrics
  • Manage multiple programs simultaneously
  • Travel to customer sites and facilities in support of programs and projects  

 

What we are looking for:

  • Experience with government contracting
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in program management
  • > 10 years of experience in program and project management
  • Ability to clearly define and understand contracts, including requirements, pre- and post-award,and contract closure
  • Ability to work efficiently with standard office documentation products (e.g., Google Suites Docs, Sheets or MS Office Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work with various functional technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated oral and written communications skills, particularly in providing customer program status reports
